More Ornaments

This is what I did today. My tummy was upset, so I wasted the day away on the couch, crocheting these balls. They look red in the pictures, but they are actually hot pink!

Reindeer Ornament

This is what I did last night. And today. Last night I glued them together using tacky glue. I couldn't plug up the glue gun in the living room and sit at the coffee table, and I wanted to watch Survivor.......anyway, I used the tacky glue and when I got up this morning, all I found was a sticky mess. The glue had dripped down into the bell, sticking the ball to the side, so they didn't ring. The heads weren't attached to the bells, and the noses had fallen off.So, 5 minutes with the glue gun and they were perfect. I took a butter knife to the bells, and they now ring beautifully. I should warn you all, my friends, that I love making Christmas decorations. So I will probably post pictures every time I make something. Consider yourselves warned! My tree has all hand made ornaments. It's quite pretty. I can't wait to put it up!

Baby Cross Stitch

This is my latest project. A friend of mine asked if I would cross stitch this for her niece who is having a baby. A picture of the baby will go in the oval on the left.
Here's a close-up of the name.
The birth date and weight will go under the name once he is born. I think it came out pretty good.

Ornaments For The Kids

This is what I've done this morning. Painted some Christmas ornaments. Every year, I make a new one for each kid. Last weekend, I found these cute ornaments in Michael's. They were on sale. I paid $3.18 for all five of them.

Oh Baby

Since we've all been feeling kinda crappy, we haven't done much the past few days. I finished the sweater set I was working on.
The booties. The bonnet
The sweater
Beautiful, I know. I made a blanket to match, but ran out of ribbon. Once I finish it all the way, I'll post a picture.

Twin Blanket Number Two

I finally finished the second blanket for my sister. This is for the boy twin. It's nice, but not as pretty as the girl blanket.I made this one with the intention of putting ribbon around the edging, but didn't like how it looked. It just didn't look good with the stitch I used.I am now finishing the blanket/sweater set I am making for my sis~in~law's sister. I love making girl stuff. My sister Cheryl should be finding out this month what she is having. Hopefully a girl. She already has Matthew, so a girl would be nice. I only have one niece on my side of the family, and 7 nephews. So think pink!

Twin Blanket Number One

A friend of my sister's had twins a few days ago. A boy and a girl. She asked me to make baby blankets for them. I finished the pink one tonight, and think it came out gorgeous. What do you think?

Opinions, Please

Okay guys. I made curly ribbon today, FUN!, and added it to some of my ornaments I have crocheted for Christmas gifts. I don't know which one looks better. I like the shorter curls a little better, but the long ones are pretty too. So, let me know which one you like best.

Baby Blanket

Tonight I finished one of the many baby blankets I want to make. It's blue with silver and pink accents. Definately looks more "baby boy" than "baby girl", but could go either way. I know one girl is having a boy, and two more are still waiting to find out. I have more of this yarn so I will probably doanother blanket in this color, but in a different pattern. I like the border on this one. I hope you can see the detail in the pictures.Anyway, I want to stay up until Ace of Cakes comes on at 10. They are supposed to be doing an elephant cake. How cool would that be? I might need to take notes and try it for myself!
