Let It Snow!

I took this picture this morning, around 11am. Since then, we have had more sleet and more snow. It really looks like a winter wonderland outside. The kids are mad at me because I refused to let them play out in it, mostly because Brandi has been so sick, and it's not fair for the others to go out while she watches. So, we have been cooped up inside today, doing a lot of packing. In fact, I helped Ryan make a big dent in his room. Tomorrow we'll finish (hopefully) and then I'll try and finish the girls room. It's supposed to get down to 18 degrees tonight, so i am pretty sure we won't be going anywhere tomorrow, either.

Snow Days Are Over!

The kids are finally headed back to school today. Most districts have a delay, but not ours. It's back to regular schedule. It's been a long four days, and I am ready for some quiet.

We ended up losing power last night for a couple of hours while they cut up our fallen tree. It was back on before nine, though, so it didn't have a chance to get cold in here. The kids went to bed, and I sat and read for a while. I had to go next door to borrow a lighter to light some candles, and our neighbor was nice enough to lend me his. They really are nice.

I guess that's about it. I'll be around later...

Let It Snow

I am so excited about this sign. I didn't use a stencil for the letters, it's all me!
AND...I added glitter glue over the paint to make it sparkle like snow.
I might just keep this one for myself!
