Leaks

When we moved into this apartment, I had just had surgery. I wasn't able to lift anything, so a lot of the boxes were put in the shed until I could get to them.

That was almost a year ago, and the boxes are still in our shed. Ryan decided to dig out his mini pool table a couple of days ago, and discovered that some of the boxes had water damage. Apparently the roof is leaking, so Junior needs to fix it. That might mean hiring Roofing Contractors because with his back and shoulder it will be difficult for him to get up there. Ryan has volunteered to get on the roof, but I just don't think he's old enough yet for a job that big.

Maybe in a few years.

More Holes

Looks like our apartment isn't the only thing around here that needs some work. As most of you know, we're having Kasi's birthday later this afternoon. Last night I was trying to get things organized, and I needed two coolers that Junior had stored in our shed.

Ryan went out there, and as he got further and further back into the shed, it was obvious that the roof has been leaking. I kind of guesses we had a problem out there when my Easter box got ruined, but I thought it was just the one box. I was wrong. Most of the boxes are rubbermaid bins, so they are sealed pretty good. The cardboard boxes are destroyed, and to be honest, I don't even remember what is in them. I wish the management company would send out a San Jose Roofer to take care of the roof out there, and the apartment's roof. I would love to be able to not have to worry about putting out buckets every time it rains.

My coolers were found, though, and not full of water. Junior is going to wash them out tomorrow, and I am going to put the punch in it for the party. They are the round ones that have the little nozzle on the front where the drink comes out. i think it will be perfect for the kids.

Our Still Leaking Roof

Do you want to know something frustrating?

My roof is STILL leaking. I don't know what to do anymore. We have called the management company numerous times, and they always say they will send someone out when it stops raining, but they never do. Wait, I take that back. They have sent someone out, twice. And both times the guys got on the roof and supposedly patched the hole with filler or tar or something. Junior was out there, and they told him both times that they found big holes, but that they were fixed.

Yeah, fixed until the next time it rained. I am ready to get in touch with some real Roof Repair 22031 guys to see what they can do to help us. Kasi's bed gets wet every time it rains, because I always forget to put a bucket on there when it starts. The management company needs to send out people who know about Roof Repair in Haymarket, VA. Maybe they can teach their roofing guy what he's doing wrong.

Because he is doing something wrong. If he knew what he was doing, like guys who do Roof Replacement in Gainesville, VA do, we wouldn't have this continuing problem.

Still Leaking

My ceiling is still leaking! I just bragged about it not leaking, and I woke up this morning to find a puddle in the kitchen. Again. This is getting ridiculous! I told Junior he needs to tell the landlord that he needs to fix it properly, and not just patch it. We'll see what happens, but I'm not holding my breath.

Our Leaky Roof

It has been raining for the past few days. Luckily, my roof is no longer leaking. Last week the landlord sent a repairman out, and he found a huge hole in the roof. Not just a crack, but a hole. Junior said he just put some tar on it, and left. I didn't think it would work, but knock on wood we haven't seen it leaking since. I, personally, think they should send out some professional roofers, because there are only so many times you can tar it over before it just won't work anymore. They should contact Roofing Contractors in Springfield, VA to get some estimates, so they will have some idea of how much it will cost. They could even check out Roof Repair 22183 or Roof Repair in Woodbridge, VA. They just need to call somebody. The ceilings and walls in my house need to be repainted, because they have water marks all over them. I told Junior he needs to ask if that is our responsibility or the landlords, because we really can't afford to buy paint, but it really needs it. It looks horrible right now. I guess the good thing is, if I have to paint, I can pick a different color.
