Great Deal From Dish Network

I have cable.

I got a flier in my mail the other day informing me that my cable company may be filing for bankruptcy. This is after years of price increases that made no sense to me. In August, we are coming to the end of our twelve month deal, and we will have to decide whether or not we want to continue with them, or get a satellite.

I was checking out Dish Network deals, and right now they have an awesome deal going on, where you get free installation and over 100 channels, including HBO and Showtime for $9.99 a month for six months. That is way better than what I am paying now.

I think it might be time to make the switch from cable to satellite.

How did you decide between traditional cable and satellite television? Right now I have regular cable, but we are thinking of switching to a satellite because our cable company filed bankruptcy, and we are worried about another price increase. Both satellites offer free equipment and free installation, as well as digital programming. I think right now, the Directtv deals are making me lean more towards them. I need to go read more of the testimonials on Kaptain Satellite before I make my final decision.
