Laser That Fat Away

If you happen to be a new reader, let me share a little something about myself.  I am fat.

Wow.  Felt good to say that.  The good news is, I am not as fat as I was 9 months ago.  Just by cutting down portion size and eliminating a lot of snacking, I have lost 48 pounds.  The bad news is, I still have a lot more weight to lose.

I was thrilled when I saw the above segment on Rachael Ray about a new Fat Burning Laser Treatment.  I don't think I would have the nerve to do it, even if I could come up with the $18,000, but I was pretty impressed with the before and after pictures they showed.  It looked to me like she had better body sculpting in the after pictures.  I believe the guy said the lady lost five and a half inches total, which is awesome for doing nothing but laying under a laser.

The guy did say that they didn't know how long the results last, because the technology is so new.  I think that is what makes me the most nervous.  Even sitting under a Low Level Laser would make me nervous. Besides, I am doing pretty good on my own right now, and would like to see how much more I can lose doing what I'm doing.  Maybe once I lose some more weight I will want to be more sculpted.

Right now, I am just trying to get rid of the rolls.

Finding A Fun Way To Exercise

The time has come. I am ready to get into an exercise program and lose some of this weight. For good this time. I am so tired of losing only to gain it right back. The 42 pounds I lost last year are still lost. Well, at least most of them are. I gained back four pounds during the move because we were eating out so much. But, I am now determined to lose them again, plus some.

I have tried all kinds of programs in the past, from low fat to low carb. By trying everything, I know what works for me, and that is exercise. It doesn't matter what program; I use if I don't exercise I won't lose weight. This leads me to my current problem, finding an exercise that is fun, and that I will want to do. I can Jump Away The Pounds, which sounds pretty fun. I even found coupon codes for Trampolines Plus, which I can use to buy one of those mini trampolines. I used to have one, but when we moved from the house two years ago, it somehow got left behind.

I am hoping that I can lose more weight before it is bathing suit season. My mom's new house has an in ground pool, so you know where I will be spending a lot of my time. Swimming is also good exercise, so that's a bonus, too.

Weight Loss Programs

I know you guys are probably sick and tired of hearing me talk about my weight, because I know I am tired of talking about it. Just bear with me for a moment, because I actually want your opinions. I will admit to trying a lot of diets that are out there, and while some have been successful short term, none of them have worked for me in the long run. As soon as I stop following these diets, I pack the weight right back on. Now, I know that when you diet you are supposed to be making a lifestyle change. I get that. But lets face it. It is too hard to give up carbs and/or fat. I need a plan that allows me to eat everything, just in moderation.

The one plan that comes to mind is Nutrisystem. This plan ships pre-packaged meals to you, and all you have to do is eat. This sounds great, but I worry that I would get bored. I need variety in my diet, and I am a picky eater. I know, a fat picky eater, but it's true. I won't eat anything with onions, and I am sure they use onions a lot in their meals. And even if I do find some that I will eat, what happens when I have to start preparing my own meals once I've lost the weight? Will my body go into shock? Will I pile the pounds back on?

So my question to you is simple...have you ever used a weight loss center, and if so, which one? Were you happy with your results, and how did you do when you stopped their program? be honest, because I really want to know.

Thanks.

Learning About Wheat

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Wheat Food Council. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been trying for a long time to lose weight. I have been trying to learn how to eat better, and make healthier food choices. I have been failing miserably.

The only change I have made, that I am truly enjoying, is the switch to wheat products. I have been buying wheat bread, wheat cereal, and even wheat pasta. When I heard about How Wheat Works, I knew I needed to check it out, and I am so glad that I did. The first step was registering with the site, and that was quick and easy. They asked for my name, email address, and I think the state I lived in. It took about 10 seconds to fill in the form, and then I just had to click the link in the email they sent me.

Once I was registered, I was taken on a virtual tour of how wheat goes from a seed to the food I enjoy. The tour takes you through every step of the process, and you get to see the tools and machines used for each step.

Educational information is given out with each phase, and I really enjoyed learning about wheat. I can honestly say that I learned a lot, and am going to have the kids do the tour as well. The best part is that for every participant who joins, the Wheat Foods Council will donate two pounds of flour, up to 90,000 pounds, to Operation Homefront, a non-profit that provides assistance to needy U.S. troops and their families. How cool is that? By learning about a healthy food, you are helping to put food in the mouths of people who need it.

Getting Help To Lose Weight

Are you like me, and constantly trying to lose weight? If so, you may be thinking of alternate ways of doing so. I know from experience that diet and exercise doesn't always work. You may think that the cost of lap band surgery is too high, and that you can not afford it. In the United States, you will pay anywhere from $14,000 to $25,000 to have the procedure done. Going to Mexico can save you more than half of that, with prices ranging from $5,000 to $7,000. The only issue I have with this is whether or not you will get the same level of medical care that you will receive here in the States. I guess you have to ask yourself how bad you want it.

Keeping Weight Off

I got on the scale this morning, and can not believe that I am holding steady at the same weight. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome thing. It's just that in the past, whenever I lose weight, I always gain it back. These thirty pounds I've lost in the past few months seem determined to stay away.

Now I just need to work on losing 30 more, and then 30 more. I think I need to start exercising on a regular basis. I don't think I'll need Musashi Bodybuilding Supplements, because I am not out to be all muscular. I just want to be fit.

That's not asking too much, right?

Losing Weight

I have been dieting since I was about thirteen years old. I was always on the heavy side, and my mom would always encourage me to lose weight. I would diet for a while and lose a little weight, but then once I started eating "normal" again, I would gain it all back. Unfortunately, this yo-yo trend has followed me into adulthood. I gained a lot of weight with each of my three pregnancies, and by the time I had Brandi, I was considered obese. I would put myself on diets, and I would lose weight. My problem has always been keeping it off. I hate to exercise, even though I feel better when I do. I know I have to do something different this time, because I have got to lose this weight for good.

I was reading about the Cookie Doctor and it's a pretty interesting diet. You eat six cookie meals a day, in place of breakfast, lunch, and snacks. They claim you could lose up to fifteen pounds a month. I could probably handle a diet where you get to eat six cookies a day. No exercise is required to lose the weight, but it is necessary to maintain your weight loss. I am at the point in my life where I have got to find a weight loss program that works for me. I think i might give this one a try.
