I Got Nothing

I feel like I have been neglecting my crafts for a while. I was so excited to set up my etsy shop, and then I sold something in the first 24 hours. Then...nothing. Maybe my prices are too high? I'm thinking of doing a giveaway on my world blog, and the winner could pick any one item in my shop as their prize. Does that sound like something you guys would be interested in?

Great idea! You can also advertise your giveaway at Prizey and probably do a post at any of your ning communities or even put it on facebook to drum up some traffic.

I don't think it's your prices. I just think you really have to hang out and market yourself on Etsy, which a lot of people don't have time to do. I'm one of those people. :)

I think the giveaway is a great idea..I have heard that it works great for some people. In my opinion, I don't think you should lower your prices at all. And it takes weeks and weeks if not months and months for most people to make their first sale..and you have done so in record time..so no worries. And, I totally know how you feel about neglecting your crafts...It has been weeks since I have made anything!

Your stuff is beautiful! And a giveaway is an awesome idea, and has worked for us in the past. I also started a new (giveaway) blog where I can link it for you. If you're interested, head over to Pancakes to Pearls blog and fill out the contact form link on the left!

I know it's easy to get discourged and think it's because your prices are too high. But honestly I've found that if you raise your prices it can actually help with sales. If you don't appreciate your items why should anyone else? I think the giveaway is a good marketing idea. it really is all about getting your shop out there so that people can find you. Good luck.
