Finding A Fun Way To Exercise

The time has come. I am ready to get into an exercise program and lose some of this weight. For good this time. I am so tired of losing only to gain it right back. The 42 pounds I lost last year are still lost. Well, at least most of them are. I gained back four pounds during the move because we were eating out so much. But, I am now determined to lose them again, plus some.

I have tried all kinds of programs in the past, from low fat to low carb. By trying everything, I know what works for me, and that is exercise. It doesn't matter what program; I use if I don't exercise I won't lose weight. This leads me to my current problem, finding an exercise that is fun, and that I will want to do. I can Jump Away The Pounds, which sounds pretty fun. I even found coupon codes for Trampolines Plus, which I can use to buy one of those mini trampolines. I used to have one, but when we moved from the house two years ago, it somehow got left behind.

I am hoping that I can lose more weight before it is bathing suit season. My mom's new house has an in ground pool, so you know where I will be spending a lot of my time. Swimming is also good exercise, so that's a bonus, too.

Yoga, And Wool

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been wanting to learn how to do yoga for a long time. The positions look difficult, but relaxing, all at the same time. The only thing holding me back is my weight. I have heard from several people that most of the positions are impossible to get into if you are carrying extra weight. Since I am carrying enough weight for another person, I think I will wait until I lose a few more pounds before I attempt any downward dogs. I just really want to look as peaceful and focused as that girl in the picture over there.

I also have another reason for posting that picture. I found this picture while looking for camisoles at Ramblers Way. I never would have thought of wool as a fabric for an undergarment, but it does make sense. Wool absorbs moisture, so it will continue to feel fresh. It also naturally repels odors, so it may be worn several times between washings. I have been looking for something to wear at night, and this seems like a comfortable way to sleep. I hate the feel of fabric restricting my arms during the night, so I am loving the spaghetti straps. Oh, and did I mention that it is machine washable? Thanks to an all-natural enzyme, the camisole resists shrinking and will keep its shape.

To recap, I found the perfect top to sleep in, that will absorb moisture, repel odors, keep it's shape in the washer, and keep me comfortable all night long. Oh, and when I start my yoga, I can wear it for that, too.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Elliptical Machines

I have tried all kinds of exercise equipment in the past. I have owned exercise bikes and treadmills, but have never used them for more than a month or two. A friend of mine had an elliptical machine, and I tried to use it. This was before my surgery, when I was vary top heavy, and I fell forward, and was stuck on the machine, parallel to the floor. My friend was laughing so hard it took her a couple of minutes to help me get off of it. Now that I am no longer as busty, I want to try it again. I was reading consumer reviews of elliptical machines and realized their are so many options out there. I am now on a mission to find one I can use easily.

What's An Electric Bike?

My dad used to love to ride a bike. He decided years ago to lose weight, so he bought a bicycle. He rode every evening, and lost a lot of weight. I remember riding with him a couple of times, and being exhausted by the time we got home. I was in elementary school, and riding for a few miles was a big deal. He took me farther than I was ever allowed to go on my own, and I enjoyed being asked to go with him.

Did you know that you can get an electric bike now? I will admit, when I first heard of these, I thought, "what's the point?". If you want something to ride that you don't have to pedal, then get a motorcycle. Then I read up on Electric Bikes and find them fascinating. They run on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and you can coast along, or assist by pedaling. I found it interesting that you can ride in the rain for short periods, but should avoid deep puddles and going long distances in the rain. These bikes are environmentally friendly, and are a great alternative to taking the car to the corner store. You can get a little exercise by pedaling along, and be kind to the environment at the same time.

I found the bike pictured at Premium Electric Bikes, and it's their Green Cruiser Electric Bike. It is made for children, or adults under 5 feet two inches tall. That would definitely be me. It sells for a discounted price, just like all their bikes. Oh, and they offer free shipping, which is great because I am all about saving money when I can.

If you are looking for an Electric Bicycle, Premium Electric Bikes is the first place you should look. It will most likely be the only place you check once you see their prices.

Are You A Runner?

I am by no means an athlete. I am, though, amazed by the people I see out jogging and running for exercise. I am awed by the athletes who train for marathons and the Olympics. I know to win these events, you have to be the best of the best. You have to train everyday. You have to train hard.

There is a new supplement available that can help you get the most out of your training. With ARX your body uses it's own system to increase endurance. It takes the lactic acid in your muscles through your bloodstream and liver, and then back into your muscles, which refuels your body and helps it to work out longer. Basically, it uses a blend of all natural ingredients to help your body use the fuel it already makes. ARX is now being endorsed by Olympic athlete and marathon runner Michael Aish.

ARX not only improves endurance, it also improves recovery time. This means you will be training harder again, faster. This is not something you will notice immediately. It takes a little while to get your system working, but once it does, the results are worth it. If you train for marathons, or even just run for fun or exercise, you can achieve your desired results faster.

Belly Dancing

I have heard that dancing is a good way to exercise. It gets you moving, and it's fun. I know you can take pole dancing classes at some gyms these days, but that's just not my cup of tea. In fact, I don't think I could take any kind of dancing lessons in public. I would be too embarrassed. Luckily there are resources available where I could learn in my own home. I still don't think it would be pole dancing, but I would be interested in learning how to belly dance. I know there are Belly Dance Video Clips that could teach me the basics, and I could learn in the privacy of my own home.

I never knew there were so many different types of belly dancing. There's classic American belly dance, tribal belly dance, gypsy belly dance, and fitness belly dance, just to name a few. Within these dances, there are staccato and rolling hip moves, ribcage circles, and arm, shoulder, and head moves. You can start with the basics, and then move on to slow and fast moves. I have seen belly dancers, and they always look so graceful and seductive. Maybe, just maybe, I could be graceful and seductive, too, with a little help.
