The Secret

I think I found the secret to losing weight...not eating. With my mouth hurting so bad, I am hardly eating, and it shows on the scale. I would give anything right now for a yummy cheeseburger, but it hurts to much to open my mouth and chew.

Hopefully in a couple of days I will be back to normal. I'm a big girl...I need to eat!

Hello, All

I am still alive. I think this is the longest I have gone without posting here in a long time. I have been suffering through a pretty bad toothache, and think I am finally on the "getting better" side of things. The day before yesterday is kind of a blur, because I took a lortab. I am such a lightweight when it comes to medication, and half of one put me out for 12 hours, and then I only stayed up a few hours, then went back to bed and napped the rest of the day away. Now I have just been taking plain tylenol, and it's been okay. Hopefully by tomorrow I can make it through the day without taking anything.

Pain, Pain, Go Away

I am in pain today.

My wisdom tooth is being difficult.

The whole left side of my mouth hurts.

It hurts to chew.

It hurts to talk.

I am miserable.

Luckily, this only happens about twice a year. My wisdom teeth are coming in, slowly, and when they do, it hurts like crazy. It only lasts about a week, and then I'm okay again. I hate the dentist, and would rather live with this pain than go have them cut out.

Yes, I am a whiml, and I'm okay with that.

Keeping Those Pearly Whites Clean And Healthy

I have got to remember to call the dentist for my kids. They are due a cleaning, and I keep forgetting. The last time we were there, Ryan and Kasi both got a talking to about their brushing habits. Brandi was told she brushes great. I am glad the kids are covered for their teeth. I wish Junior and I were, too.

My teeth are healthy, as far as I know. I still have my wisdom teeth, and they don't bother me. I am looking into trying MI Paste Plus to maybe make my teeth a little stronger. Junior could benefit from this, too, because he is always chipping his teeth, and then having to have them pulled because he waits until they are beyond repair to go get them taken care of. We both also could use Nite White because our teeth are a little discolored from smoking. Even though I quit seven plus years ago, my teeth are still stained.

I also want to get a rota dent electric toothbrush. I have always used a normal, cheap toothbrush, but have heard wonderful things about the electric ones. I need a toothbrush that will get my teeth clean, and not irritate my gums.

I mean, you only get one set of permanent teeth, so you may as well take care of them the best you can.

Brighter And Whiter

I quit smoking seven and a half years ago. I was pregnant with Brandi, and just decided one day that I was being horrible to her, so I quit. Cold turkey. Since then, I have never even been tempted to light up, even though Junior continued to smoke.

A couple of months ago, they raised the price of cigarettes here to over four dollars a pack. We were barely able to afford to support Junior's habit at three dollars a pack, so he quit. As far as I know, he has not bought any cigarettes, but he does bum one now and then from the guys he works with when he has a particularly bad day. I know how hard it was for me to quit, and I only smoked for ten years. Junior smoked for about twenty five years, so I know this wasn't easy for him, either. I am so proud of him for doing it, though.

The years of smoking have taken their toll on us. I know my teeth are not exactly as white as I would like them to be, so I have been looking into teeth whitening. I know there are ways to do it at home, and I am looking for the easiest way. E-Bright Tooth Whitening Accelerator Home Edition looks really promising. It's simple to use, and can provide results in three twenty minute sessions.

Have any of you used home whitening kits? What were your results?
