Camera Critters ~ 44

Can you spot the critter?
Here's a hint...it's my daughters hamster, princess.

It's been a while since I have participated in camera critters, and I've missed it.
Hopefully I am back for good!

It's Raining

Most of you know why I hate the rain. I already have the buckets out, waiting for the drips to start. The weatherman is calling for heavy rain all day; up to four inches. Just in case you are new here, let me explain. My ceiling leaks in like eleven places, and whenever it rains I have to live with buckets on my floor to catch the water. It is not a fun experience.

This also means that my mom probably won't make it to Brandi's performance tonight, because she has a hard time seeing in the dark to begin with, and add in the rain and you are asking for disaster. It's okay, though, because I plan on having Ryan videotape it for me so I can post it on here for everyone to enjoy.

It's times like this, though, that I wish I had invested in a camera bag for him. I have a very small one for my camera that fits into my purse, but his video camera is going to get a little wet tonight without something to protect it. When we went camping, I had him use a small tote to carry all his electronics, like his video camera, mp3 player, portable dvd player, psp, and all the movies and games that go along with them. That will not work tonight.

I think a camera bag might be something that Santa can bring him. I found these really cool sling camera bags that look like backpacks. The great thing is that you can kind of unstrap one side to sling it around to the front, so you don't have to take it off, and you have a harder time dropping it. I would say that you couldn't drop it, but I know my son and I am sure he will find a way.

I guess for tonight I will just have to carry a bigger purse.

Best Picture Of The Day

We were at the lake this morning, and I couldn't resist taking some shots of the trees in all their beautiful Fall colors. I love how I got the reflection in the water. This is going to be my screen saver for a while. I took a bunch of other shots, too, and will post them over the next few days.

Beauty

This is one of my favorite pictures from last weekend. Brandi is watching the fireworks, totally unaware that her picture was being taken. Her hair is a mess because she had been swimming all day, and there is no forced smile on her face.

I can not take credit for this picture...Missy took it. She took a lot more, and you can see them on my picture blog. There are great shots of all the kids.

They're Up

I finally posted the river pictures on my picture blog. You can check them out here. You can tell the kids had a good time, and that was what we wanted. They have been bugging me every day since to go back. Hopefully one afternoon this week we will.

So Many Pictures

I have so many pictures to post from the weekend. I am trying to get them cropped and ready, but it is taking me forever. I have the ones from the river ready to be uploaded, so hopefully at some point today I can get them on my picture blog.

This is a shot of Brandi with her Grandpa, aka my dad. We were on the boat, taking a cruise around the lake. I was on the boat with the girls, and Ryan went later. I was a little ticked when Ryan told me last night that he didn't wear a life jacket on the boat, and I told him he is NEVER to go out again without one. I know he's getting older, but still. If something happens, he needs to be safe.

Playing

Still playing with the new site I found.

The "kasi" was a glittery pink, but it didn't save that way. I'm not too sure why.

Maybe tomorrow I will figure it all out.

Oh well. I'm going to play on facebook a little.

Fotoflexer

I found a new photo editing site today, and I love it! In the past I have used picnik, but they have taken some of their options and made them available only to paying users. I made this picture at fotoflexer. Cool, right? They have so many different options that aren't available at picnik. It will probably take me a while to figure them all out.

What do you use to edit your photos?

Pretty Flowers

These are just some random shots from around my yard. I love that all the flowers are blooming, and smelling so beautiful. I don't know what any of them are, but I do know thay are beautiful.

There are many more flowering plants in my yard that still have buds on them. As soon as they bloom, I will take more pictures. Hopefully some of them will be purple. I don't know because we didn't live here last Spring. I need to plant some of my own. Maybe I can talk Ryan into making smaller versions of my garden boxes.

Memories

I love this School Days Picture Frame. It lets you display your child's yearly school pictures in one beautifully matted frame. Starting with Kindergarten in the upper middle, the rest of the years follow clockwise, ending with a senior picture in the center. This is the perfect Mother's Day gift, or for mother's who are sending their kids off for the first day of school.

I like that it can display all the years in one spot. I have three kids, and hanging their pictures every year gets a little crazy. I just don't have enough wall space. This is a convenient way to keep the pictures organized, and I would only have to hang three pictures, instead of three for every year. Plus, it's a great way to capture your child's school memories.

Wordless, Somewhat

Here's Brandi Rose being a silly head. It was beautiful again yesterday, with our high in the low 70's. She enjoyed playing outside after school, while I sat and read my Dean Koontz book. I have a few more pictures posted here. You should go check them out.

CEIVA Digital Frames

I've got a wish. But it's a secret.

My husband and the kids keep asking me what I want for Christmas. I wanted all the Twilight books, but couldn't wait until Christmas to read them, so that's not going to work. I want the new Dean Koontz book, so maybe they could get that.

Here's my secret wish. I would love a digital picture frame. These are so cool! They even have ones now where you can upload pictures from your phone, without the need of your computer. CEIVA Digital Photo Frames are like that. Right now you can go to their site, and virtually sit on Santa's lap. Just download a picture of yourself, and they work all the magic. Make sure you tell him what your Christmas wish is, because it shows up in his book. They are even giving away $500 prizes to one lucky winner each day. I know this is the perfect time of year to come into a little extra cash. I am, thankfully, done with all of my shopping, but I do know a few people who are waiting until the last minute.

These picture frames are pretty cool, so make sure you check them out. And while you're there, sit on Santa's lap, and make sure you tell him that I was a good girl!

Fedex Found Me This Time

My pictures arrived this morning. They came out beautiful! I think the only problem I am going to encounter is that they are an odd size, 12 X 8, and I need to find frames. I may end up having to mat them in a bigger frame. I want to give one to my mom, and one to family friends, and keep the third for myself.

Now I'm just hoping the second tupperware box finds me, too.
