2010 Ornament For Ryan
Christmas wouldn't be complete without the kids yearly ornaments. This year, Ryan ended up with a cute little tree, complete with snowflakes and berries. Is it my most creative ornament ever? Not even close. But I have been so busy, he's actually lucky he got an ornament at all this year.

Brandi's 2010 Ornament
I don't know what was up with my camera last night, but these pictures came out horrible. But, you get the idea. Brandi's is pink, her favorite color. I am going to hang it with a pink ribbon, too.

Kasi's 2010 Ornament
I painted this one purple, because just like me, that is her favorite color. I think I need to do her name and the date in white instead of black. The black kind of blends in, and I want the name and date to stand out. What do you think?

Ryan's 2010 Ornament
I hate the way this picture came out, but no matter how many times I tried to take it, it always came out the same. Th ornament is blue (not black...even though it looks black) and it has his name and the year on it. When the Holidays get here, I will take a picture of him to go in the middle.

Kasi Painted These
My Christmas tree is covered with home made ornaments. The only store bought ones are ones people have given me as gifts. Every year, I make a few more to add to my collection of ornaments. This year, the girls wanted to help, and we had fun doing it together.

Frustrated
Remember the post I did last week about these ornaments I made for my nieces and nephews?

Well, I am a little ticked off right now, because all the paint it coming off. They look horrible.
There are streaks of no paint, and where there is paint, it looks like it pooled.
I am not a happy camper. I have not figured out how, or if, I can save them somehow.
Any ideas?

Foam Ornaments
Yesterday, the kids worked on these ornaments. I have to get some pictures to go in the middle, but you get the idea.
These are Kasi's. She liked giving them different colored eyes.

Ryan made this one. He is such a party pooper, and didn't really want to do any. Maybe it's the age he's at right now. Who knows.

2008 Ornaments

Every year I make the kids an ornament for the tree. This year I bought a foam picture ornament kit that allows you to make 24 ornaments: 8 penguins, 8 bears and 8 snowmen. I am going to let the kids make them to give to their grandparents. I made the ones for our tree so the kids will have a pattern to look at. They were super easy, and took about 10 minutes to make. I added the pompoms and google eyes, and put the date on them.
They came out cute, right?

Reindeer Ornament

This is what I did last night. And today. Last night I glued them together using tacky glue. I couldn't plug up the glue gun in the living room and sit at the coffee table, and I wanted to watch Survivor.......anyway, I used the tacky glue and when I got up this morning, all I found was a sticky mess. The glue had dripped down into the bell, sticking the ball to the side, so they didn't ring. The heads weren't attached to the bells, and the noses had fallen off.So, 5 minutes with the glue gun and they were perfect. I took a butter knife to the bells, and they now ring beautifully. I should warn you all, my friends, that I love making Christmas decorations. So I will probably post pictures every time I make something. Consider yourselves warned! My tree has all hand made ornaments. It's quite pretty. I can't wait to put it up!
