Brandi's Teacher's Christmas Gift

Did you follow that?  Since Brandi is my only kid who still wants to give her teacher a gift, I decided to make it special.  As some of you know, Brandi is in an all girl's class, and the room is done in pink and black prints.  This is what I came up with:
I know the picture isn't the best...my camera broke, and my mom left her's here over the weekend, so I tried using hers, and, well, it's not like mine at all.  That said, I think Brandi's teacher will like this.

2010 Ornament For Ryan

Christmas wouldn't be complete without the kids yearly ornaments.  This year, Ryan ended up with a cute little tree, complete with snowflakes and berries.  Is it my most creative ornament ever?  Not even close.  But I have been so busy, he's actually lucky he got an ornament at all this year.

Taylor Ann

I finally finished my last name sign.  I did this one in blue and green.  Taylor shares a room with Teagan, so I put green on both to tie them together.  I also bought pretty white ribbon that has polka dots on it in all different colors...it's going to match both signs.

I am thinking about making a sign for Brandi's teacher that says "Mrs. Blanton's Classroom", but we'll see.  She's the only teacher gift I have to do this year, so it shouldn't be too hard to get it done.  I hate that the older kids don't bring gifts to their teachers anymore.  I love making stuff every year for them...

It's Like Putting A Puzzle Together

I think I might have mentioned that Junior is re-doing my mom's kitchen.  This week, he worked on the boxing she wants to go around the light over the sink.  Did you follow that?  Junior spent two days working on the pieces, and getting them put together.  My roto-zip came in really handy for the scalloped edges. The finished product looks great!  I'll get a shot as soon as he gets it hung in the kitchen.

Brandi's 2010 Ornament

I don't know what was up with my camera last night, but these pictures came out horrible.  But, you get the idea.  Brandi's is pink, her favorite color.  I am going to hang it with a pink ribbon, too.

Kasi's 2010 Ornament

I painted this one purple, because just like me, that is her favorite color.  I think I need to do her name and the date in white instead of black.  The black kind of blends in, and I want the name and date to stand out.  What do you think?

Ryan's 2010 Ornament

I hate the way this picture came out, but no matter how many times I tried to take it, it always came out the same.  Th ornament is blue (not black...even though it looks black) and it has his name and the year on it.  When the Holidays get here, I will take a picture of him to go in the middle.

Kasi Painted These

My Christmas tree is covered with home made ornaments.  The only store bought ones are ones people have given me as gifts.  Every year, I make a few more to add to my collection of ornaments.  This year, the girls wanted to help, and we had fun doing it together.

Santa Mask

Kasi painted this one.  Apparently she was channeling a younger Santa, when his beard was gray, not yet white.  The girls are writing a play to act out with their masks, and I can not wait to see it.

Brandi Painted These

Didn't they come out great?  I have quite the talented little artist on my hands.

Skeleton

Here's another addition to my Halloween decorations. I found this at Micheal's and paid about $.12 for it.

Not a bad price, right?

I think next year, closer to Halloween, I am going to try and find some glow in the dark paint to go on the white bones. I think that will look pretty awesome.

Tired Of My Ornaments Yet?

This one is just a simple blue and silver snowflake. I wish I had bought more of these, because I love the way it came out.

Maybe I'll make another trip to Micheal's this weekend. Wait, maybe not.

I hate shopping the weekend after Thanksgiving. The stores are way too crowded for me.

Kasi's Country And Brandi's Angel

How awesome do these look?

I let the girls pick out these signs in the Dollar Tree, and they had a ball painting them.
kasi said she was going for a camouflage look, and I think she did great.
Brandi was just trying to make hers look as colorful as possible, and I think she did an amazing job! They are already planning which signs they will get next.

A Butterfly By Me

I am thrilled with the way this one came out!

I wish there wasn't a shadow in the picture, because the bottom wings look just as good as the top wings.

This is also a clip, so like the other two, it can hold papers or whatever on the fridge.

I had a baal painting with my girls. I love that they have inherited my love of all things crafty. kasi has asked if her and I can find something to try together...just the two of us...and I think we are going to get some polymer clay and see what we can come up with.

Any tips from all you sculptors out there????

Flower-ish Magnet

Again my camera was acting up, and when I edited the pictures, the white looks yellow. The bottom flower is really white, with blue, pink, and orange flowers. The front flower is black with different colored flowers on it.

It looks a whole lot prettier in person...

This one is also a clip, so it can hold paper on the fridge. I got these in a pack of three at Walmart for under $3. I am really into thrifty shopping this year...

A Little Ladybug

I painted this one...

For some reason, when I edited the pictures, it turned all the white a little yellow. Trust me when I tell you her face is actually white.

I made a set of these little critters for myself a while back, and thought they would make good Christmas gifts. This guy has a clip between his head and body that can hold papers on the fridge.

Ohm, and he does have a right side...I don't know why it's black in the picture...

Flier...Take Two

At the suggestion of Elaine, I added the option of "custom message". I also put on there that all orders would be ready before Christmas. I am excited to be able to make one this weekend for my newest little niece or nephew that is going to be born in the morning.

Well, I'm off. I have lots to do the next couple of days, and I need to get some things done around here today.

Have a great Halloween!!!!
