Turtle

Look what I caught! Imagine my surprise when I pulled this little sucker out of the water. Luckily, Junior was able to get him off the hook without hurting him, and he headed straight back into the water. I caught a couple of fish, too. I love this time of year...it's not too hot, so sitting on the lake shore is relaxing. I am hoping we get in a lot of fishing trips this year. We always have so much fun!

Fishing Rod Holders

I have a line of these fishing rod holders across my yard right now. Junior and Ryan have been making them, and I think they came out really great. Ryan painted them black last night, and he had a ball doing it. He is itching to go to the lake so he can use them. I would rather hold my fishing rod, but that's just me.

Finally Nice Enough

It was finally nice enough for us to fish for a little while this afternoon. It was nice in the shade, but the sun was hot. The little fishies were biting, and I caught a few. The girls did, too.

Junior and Ryan prefer to fish on the bottom of the lake, and neither of them caught anything. We didn't stay long, though, because the pavilion was rented out, and they started blasting some funky music that gave me a headache.

I am hoping to get the rest of the pictures uploaded to my picture blog tonight or tomorrow.

Fishing under Our Driveway

Ryan loves to go under the bridge that is our driveway and fish. He uses the smallest hooks he can find, and plays with all the little fish in the creek. As far as I know, he has never actually caught anything under there, but he says it's relaxing. And I guess when you're 13, there are worse things you can be doing to relax.

Here's a shot of Brandi...I don't allow her under, so she was on the bridge pouting.
