Schmuckity Schmuck Schmuck Toilet

Like that title, do ya?

That is what Brandi called Junior today.

We were in the car, and he was aggravating her.

She called him that, so he threw his water on her.

Never a dull moment with those two around.

Uh Oh

Remember two weeks ago when I went to therapy with Junior? Well, last week when he went, I was worried about what the therapist would say to him about me. As soon as he got home, I asked what she said, and Junior said there was good things and bad things,

I wanted the bad first, so he said I need to go with him to therapy every other week.

The good news was that she thought I added enough to the session that she wants me to continue to come, so I can rat him out about the things he doesn't tell her.

So this is me week to go with.

I'm not looking forward to it.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Junior's birthday. The kids were so excited to make this cake for their daddy! The girls helped me bake, and they all wrote on it. Ryan did the happy and the green heart, Kasi did the birthday and blue heart, and Brandi did the Dad and the red heart. The candles are re-lights, so they are looking forward to seeing him try and blow them out. We also have a 4 and a 3 that will go about the happy. I will take more pictures later.

Therapy?

I have to go with Junior to therapy tomorrow. His therapist asked that I come in so we can discuss the things Junior just doesn't tell her. I am a little worried that I will say something that Junior doesn't want her to know, but honestly, I think it's good if I do. I know he avoids certain things with her, and I told him a couple of weeks ago that he needs to be more honest if he expects them to help him. Did that just make sense?

Anyway, I hope it goes well, and I hope Junior isn't too mad at me when we leave.

Job Hunting

Junior is looking for a new job. He likes where he is now, but he just doesn't make enough money. We pay our bills, but have no extra money for all the little things we would like to do. Plus, we need to get health insurance for us. The kids are covered right now, but if anything happens to me or Junior, we are screwed. The only problem is that no one is hiring. I looked in our paper, and where there are usually a couple of columns of job postings, today there wasn't even half a column. I guess that means for now, he will have to stay where he is, and I will have to make more money to contribute to the household. Believe me, I'm trying. :)

The Smoking Flower Pot

I quit smoking over seven years ago, and since then, I have not let Junior smoke in the house. He has to go outside to light up. When we lived at the house, I had a flower pot on the porch that he threw his butts in. Here at the apartment, he just throws them where ever he happens to be standing. Most go into the yard, but some end up on our front porch. It drives me crazy, because they leave black marks on the concrete, and it gets tracked into the house and onto the carpet. If he keeps this up, I am going to need to get some concrete cleaner to keep the porch clean. The worst thing is that the flower pot from the house is on the porch here, but I just can't get him to use it. Drives me crazy!

Sleep Apnea

My husband had a sleep study done years ago. For those of you who don't know, it's where you go to the hospital overnight, and they hook you up to machines while you sleep, checking your oxygen levels and breathing. When Junior went, they thought the machines were malfunctioning, because his oxygen level was reading 46. When they brought a new machine in, it gave the same results. He also stopped breathing every few seconds, which they were extremely concerned about. They diagnosed him with severe sleep apnea and sent him home with a bi-pap machine. Whenever he sleeps, even napping on the couch, he has to wear this mask over his face that forces air down his throat, keeping his airway open. The first night he used he, he slept like a baby. He got up the next morning and said he hadn't slept that good in years.

Recently, he has started snoring again, even with his mask on. This is a sign that he either needs a new study done, or a new mask. I know the seal on his is ripped, and that could be part of the problem. It's just that the mask costs around $400, and we don't have that right now. I'm hoping when he gets back into the clinic, they can replace it for him. It's so important that his machine works properly to keep him alive. Sleep apnea is not something you want to take lightly. If you or your spouse snores, look into having a study done. It could save your life.

My Forgetful Husband

Last week, my husband was trying to get some money for Christmas shopping. He needed to show his license and social security card. Well, wouldn't you know, he couldn't find his SS card. Anywhere. He ended up having to go down to the Social Security Office and apply for a new one. I wish the business had known they could just call to Verify Social Security Numbers. It would have saved my husband some time.

Christmas For My Husband

I have been having the hardest time trying to find something for my husband for Christmas. Sure, there are certain things he has mentioned he would like to have, but they are all things that are out of our price range. I would love to be able to but him the new car he wants, or the thousand dollar toolbox that has a radio and refrigerator built in. We just can not afford all that this year. I would do better getting him some vinyl shutters for his building he wants to built as a workshop. At least they would throw in free shipping until the end of the year.

Me On A Motorcycle?

As most of you know, I do not drive. I have an intense fear of other cars on the road. My husband has tried to talk me into letting him get a motorcycle, cheap, that he can fix up using yamaha motorcycle parts. I told him he's crazy! If he wants to ride a motorcycle he can. But there is no way I am getting on one.
