Brandi's Teacher's Christmas Gift

Did you follow that?  Since Brandi is my only kid who still wants to give her teacher a gift, I decided to make it special.  As some of you know, Brandi is in an all girl's class, and the room is done in pink and black prints.  This is what I came up with:
I know the picture isn't the best...my camera broke, and my mom left her's here over the weekend, so I tried using hers, and, well, it's not like mine at all.  That said, I think Brandi's teacher will like this.

It's Like Putting A Puzzle Together

I think I might have mentioned that Junior is re-doing my mom's kitchen.  This week, he worked on the boxing she wants to go around the light over the sink.  Did you follow that?  Junior spent two days working on the pieces, and getting them put together.  My roto-zip came in really handy for the scalloped edges. The finished product looks great!  I'll get a shot as soon as he gets it hung in the kitchen.

Kid Sized Picnic Table

It has been a while since I have done anything really creative, so I was thrilled when Junior decided to make my mom a picnic table for Mother's Day.  It is eight feet long, and small enough for the kids to sit at.  The last time we were all at my mom's house, the kids sat on a blanket in the yard to eat, and Junior didn't want that to happen again.  Check out how much the kids, and my mom, loved it!

Our next project is an adult sized table to match this one!  Hopefully we will get it done before the summer is over.

Circles

So, how do you like this one? Black with pink and purple circles...I am tempted to keep this one for myself! I have two more left...I painted them brown, but am having trouble being creative right now. I think I might mull it over for a few days. Or, if you have any ideas, feel free to share.

Building My Boxes

This is the first of seven boxes the kids are making to plant our garden in. As you can see, Jack had to check it out. I think it came out pretty good. I took pictures of them hammering and posted them here. Ryan is getting old enough that he really didn't need that much help. They finished one, and now have something to do the next couple of days while it's nice outside.
