I am meeting with Ryan's English teacher next Wednesday. On Saturday, I got a letter in the mail, saying he is not making satisfactory progress, and he may need summer school, or he could be held back. I was pissed because he is not even failing this class. So I emailed the teacher today, and she said it is a standard letter they send to all parents of kids who are on the cusp of failing. Ryan has a D average, so there is a chance if he fails one semester, he could fail for the year. I emailed back requesting a conference so we can talk about what to do to make sure he doesn't fail.
I do not do summer school!
