Thank goodness there was a nice think piece of glass between me and this thing. Yes, I said thing. I know it has a technical name, but all I think when I see it is giant spider, and it creeps me out. I took this picture at our local zoo last month.To participate, go here.

Those are 8 long hairy legs that I wouldn't want to see crawling in my kitchen!
I have friends who keep tarantulas as pets ... but methinks that's a line I won't cross myself.

That's a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula, I believe..
